Buchheit Precision is a small job shop in rural western Nebraska and we are seeking a qualified CNC machinist/programmer able to utilize 2 and 3 axis CNC mills and lathes to produce small quantities of metal parts to customer specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Programming, set up, and operation of 3 axis CNC mills and 2 axis CNC lathes

• Utilize provided CAD/CAM software to produce programs

• Measure and inspect finished parts for accuracy

• Select and order required tooling when needed

• Assist with and perform basic maintenance tasks required for machines

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent​

  • Certificate or diploma in CNC and CAD/CAM from qualified institution or equivalent experience

  • Good mechanical aptitude

• Preferred

  • Manual machining skills​

  • Welding and fabrication skills

  • Experience or familiarity with AutoDesk software

  • Ability to reverse engineer parts when blue prints or models are not available

  • Experience with Hurco mills and Okuma lathes

  • Strong troubleshooting skills
